"Zippy" Arp
Jack Russell Terrier

Four Years of experience watching over all phases of the firearms business. Fully knowledgeable in all areas of meal time. She is the only staff member at Gun City to get it when she wants it most of the time!
Well accustomed to gunfire and shooters of every aroma. If she sniffs ya, she likes ya...maybe.

Can sometimes be spotted lounging in the showroom on the couch, but spends most of her time keeping her trained eye on the bottom line... that is where they put most of the dog food at the supermarket!

In Loving Memory

Larry Hickerson, Secretary/Treasurer, Mentor
Larry Hickerson came to 573 Murfreesboro Road in July of 1964 to help launch what was at that time, a unique endeavor; a retail store dedicated to the shooting sports. Larry was instrumental in designing and building the Gun City Indoor Range, the first in Tennessee, as well as the first in the United States to use the Venetian Blind Bullet Trap that did not use sand or water to contain spent bullets.

Larry Brought 40 years of experience in the retail firearms business and had an excellent knowledge of gunsmithing, ballistics, reloading, optics, and firearms. His hobbies included hunting-waterfowl, deer, dove, and turkey. Larry also made duck calls, goose calls and turkey calls, under the name "Johnny Marsh Calls". After 40 years, it still had that "thrill of the chase" for Larry. Larry was and is "Gun City" to us, we think of him & miss him and tell his story every single day.
